US President Donald Trump has ruled out the possibility of negotiations with Iran for now, amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. In a social media post on Friday, he made it clear that there would be no agreement without Tehran’s “unconditional surrender.”
Trump wrote that after Iran’s unconditional surrender and the selection of a “great and acceptable” leader, the United States, together with its brave allies and partners, would work tirelessly to bring Iran back from the brink of destruction.
He promised that Iran would then be made economically greater, better and stronger than ever before.
The US president has previously said on several occasions that whoever takes over Iran’s leadership in the future must be someone acceptable to the United States.
Echoing his familiar campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again,” Trump ended his post with “MIGA,” or “Make Iran Great Again.”
